Bakhmut: one division of the National Guard destroyed $100 million worth of Russian equipment

The Russian occupying forces mostly use attack aircraft and bombers, attack helicopters of various classes in the Bakhmut direction.

And only one of the divisions of the National Guard of Ukraine has already destroyed about $100 million worth of such enemy equipment there. In particular, fighters of the anti-aircraft missile unit of the “Spartan” brigade shot down four planes and two helicopters of the Russian Armed Forces. This was published by Obozrevatel told NSU officer with the call sign “Partizan”.

According to him, enemy aviation mainly operated at night. However, the Ukrainian military was alert, “landed” the Su-24 bomber and three Su-25 attack aircraft.

From the helicopters of the invaders, our soldiers destroyed two Mi-24s, as they are also called “Crocodile”.

Partizan says that one of these attack helicopters was difficult to identify because it was almost four kilometers away from them.

“But we saw his exact defeat and fall,” the soldier assured.

He admitted that it often happens when equipment shot down by his comrades falls on the territory controlled by the enemy. Then the defenders cannot determine exactly what class these cars were and how they were equipped.

“But I think that our division has already worked on about $100 million. This refers to the confirmed targets,” the NSU officer emphasized.

It is noted that the portable anti-aircraft missile complexes (MANPADS) of the National Guard proved to be effective “medicine” against the Russian aviation in the Bakhmut direction.

And this is in view of the fact that the enemy is very intensively using its planes and helicopters there. From December 2022 to the end of March of this year, the defenders recorded at least four enemy sorties per day.
