
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhnyi met with the commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia, Lieutenant General Leonids Kalnynsh.
Zaluzhny emphasized the importance of strengthening the air defense system of Ukraine, the supply of shells and weapons. This is about the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces reported in Telegram.

“Had a meeting with the commander of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia, Lieutenant General Leonids Kalnynsh, who visited Ukraine for the first time on an official visit,” Zaluzhny wrote.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces told his colleague about the current situation at the front. The parties agreed to continue dialogue and cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
“I am grateful to General Kalnyņš and the entire Latvian people for their solidarity and support,” Zaluzhnyi stressed.
On April 20, Valery Zaluzhnyi pmoat negotiations with the Supreme Commander of the Joint NATO Forces in Europe and the Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli. They discussed the priority areas of arms, equipment and ammunition for Ukraine.
The generals agreed to “further continue dialogue and actively interact.”
