Japan expanded the list of sanctions against the Russian Federation. They included 17 individuals and 78 legal entities, informs Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Such measures have been implemented «in view of the current international situation around Ukraine and with the aim of contributing to international efforts to achieve international peace,” the department noted.
It is reported that a decision was made to freeze the assets of 17 individuals and 78 legal entities of the Russian Federation, including those who are considered «directly involved in the annexation” of Crimea and “destabilization of the eastern part of Ukraine”. In addition, restrictions were imposed on seven people from the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, who are considered to be involved in “incorporation with Russia.”
Sanctions were also imposed against Russian aviation enterprises, including the Ural, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Irkutsk aircraft factories, the Kolomna machine-building design bureau, Pulsar NVP, the GAZ group, ROSEL trading house, the State Rocket Center named after M.M. Gorky, State Rocket Center named after V.M. Gorky, State Rocket Center named after M.M. Gorky.
The country will also introduce a ban on the export to 80 individual subjects of the Russian Federation of those goods that can contribute to the increase of Russia’s industrial potential.
In addition, a ban on the provision of architectural and engineering services to Russia is introduced.

At the same time, on April 25 The EU and Japan opposed the US plan to ban exports to Russia.
