Two Russian soldiers were informed of the suspicion of killing four civilians in the Chernihiv region, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported on May 26.
According to the conclusions of the investigation, in March 2022, the perpetrators shot from their cars two civilian cars in the village of Olshana, Prylutsky district.
In one of the cars, two men were carrying bread and food to the residents of the Ichnia United Territorial Community, in the other two Ichnia residents were going to the hospital in Pryluky. They all died on the spot.
“In addition, the suspects took possession of the mobile phones of the deceased, which helped to identify them,” the prosecutor’s office adds.
The soldiers are suspected of violating the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional killings.

Earlier on May 26, the OGP reported that the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office and the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office submitted to the court an indictment against five Russian soldiers who shot 10 civilian cars with civilians in the village of Gostomel in the Kyiv region.
According to the investigation, on February 25, for six hours, Russian Guardsmen shot cars of civilians trying to leave the war zone. As a result, five people died, six more were injured. Law enforcement officers identified five Russian soldiers.
