The US State Department said that Ukraine has the ability to return all its territories within the 1991 borders, including the temporarily occupied Crimea. About it at the briefing informed State Department Speaker Matthew Miller.
Responding to a question that US military assistance is intended to return Ukraine to the 1991 borders, Miller said that Kyiv has the opportunity and the right to do so.
“We support Ukraine in protecting its sovereignty and its territorial integrity,” he said.
The diplomat noted that this includes not only parts of Ukraine that Russia occupied after the start of the big war, but also Crimea.
“We made that clear,” Miller said.
