June 26 YouTube is officially shutting down the Stories feature and plans to focus on formats that are in high demand.
YouTube explained that the reason for dropping YouTube Stories was that they were becoming less popular. Maidanchyk wants to focus on other, newer and more promising features.
Stories appeared as a response to the feature of the same name on Instagram. It was launched in 2019.
