Police can confirm that a person has died following a single vehicle crash on private property in Stanleys Road, Otayo, Waimate.
The incident was reported to the police yesterday after 18:00.
An ambulance arrived, but unfortunately the person died.
The Serious Accidents Unit has been notified and the circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
