Ukrainian poet, writer, volunteer and leader of the band Zhadan and Dogs Serhii Zhadan was awarded a medal for musical creativity by the organizers of the Hay Festival, which took place in Wales.
Serhii Zhadan announced this in his social networks. He noted that he wants to sell the medal at an auction and donate the proceeds to “something useful.”
«Received a medal for musical creativity at the Hay Festival in Wales. Thanks to the organizers for supporting Ukraine. I don’t wear medals, so I will sell them at some auction. And I will give the money to something useful. In any case, thank you all,” he wrote.
Hounds and Dogs performed at the Hay Festival on Saturday 3rd June on the Wye Stage.

The band Zhadan and Dogs shared a photo from the concert at the festival and thanked the organizers for the drive. But he announced a performance in London already on Wednesday, June 7.
