A man has been freed from a car in South Dunedin by emergency services after a two-car crash on Melbourne Street this afternoon.
It is not yet known whether there were any casualties as a result of the accident, which occurred around 4:20 p.m.
A police representative said that the accident happened at the intersection with Atkinson Street.
The road was partially closed for a while, the spokesman said.
A New Zealand Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
The man was extricated from the vehicle and taken to St. John’s.
Fentz also has no injury information.
St. John could not be reached for comment.
