As of 6:00 a.m., 1,457 people have already been evacuated from flooded areas.

In the Kherson region after the detonation by the Russian invaders Kakhovskaya HPP in the next 20 hours, the water level will increase by another meter.
This was announced by the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin Telegram.
“During the night, no extraordinary events were recorded. The intensity of flooding is decreasing, however, due to the significant destruction of the dam, water will still arrive. According to our forecasts, the water level will increase by another meter in the next 20 hours,” said Prokudin.
The head of the OVA noted that the Belozersk community began to be flooded that night, and the water had not yet reached it yesterday.
“In total, as of this morning, 1,852 houses have been flooded in the Right Bank Kherson region. Everyone is already working to help people who are in the flooded zone,” he added.
According to him, 13 people asked for help at night, five of whom are residents of the occupied part of the Kherson region on the left bank of the Dnieper.
“As of 6:00 a.m., 1,457 people were evacuated, in particular, 1,286 people were evacuated from the Korabel microdistrict,” Prokudin said.
Blowing up the Kakhovskaya HPP – what is known
Early in the morning on June 6, videos appeared of the destroyed dam of the Kakhovskaya HPP, through which a powerful flow of water from the Kakhovskaya reservoir flows out. It started very quickly flooding settlements located downstream.
The Ukrainian authorities began an urgent evacuation of the population from the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson area. At the same time, an emergency meeting of the NSDC took place, at which the action plan in connection with this disaster was discussed. Ukrainian government accused Russia in the purposeful undermining of the dam.
Ukrhydroenergo stated that Kakhovskaya HPP can no longer be restored in its former form. According to their calculations, in four days the Kakhov reservoir will completely flow into the Black Sea.
Analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believe that undermining the Kakhovskaya HPP was more necessary for Russia, than Ukraine, and the Russian version of why the Ukrainians could blow up the dam does not stand up to any criticism.
