The Russian occupiers do not even try to help people in the territories flooded as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
After the explosion Kakhovskaya HPP large areas of Ukraine remain flooded. Some of them are occupied. However, the Russians are in no hurry to help the local people.
About this told President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“Russian terrorists once again proved that they are a threat to all living things. Absolutely deliberate destruction of one of Ukraine’s largest reservoirs. At least 100 thousand people lived in these areas before the Russian invasion. At least tens of thousands are still there,” the president said.
According to Zelenskyi, hundreds of thousands of people in the south were left without normal access to drinking water.
“Our services, all those who can save people, are already involved. But we can help only in the territory controlled by Ukraine. In the part occupied by Russia, the occupiers do not even try to help people. This once again demonstrates with what cynicism Russia treats people whose seized the land, and what Russia actually brings to Europe and the world,” the head of state emphasized.
It will be recalled that Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC, said that as a result of the Russian occupiers undermining the Kakhovskaya HPP, the water supply to the temporarily occupied Crimea will soon become physically impossible.
