The reason for this is that currently half of the ingredients for the production of dairy products are imported.
In Ukraine, by the end of the year, dairy product prices are expected to increase by about 10%.
Dairy Producers Association Executive Director Hanna Lavreniuk made the announcement on the telethon
Thus, according to her, about half of the ingredients used today in the manufacture of dairy products are imported, starting with packaging and ending with fruit fillers or sourdoughs. This is why, explains the expert, we have already observed an increase in the cost of dairy products on the shelves by 20 to 25%.
“We have to state that in the near future, by the end of the year, we will still see a price increase of around 10%. We hope there will not be a higher increase,” Lavreniuk said, adding that if the hryvnia continues to fall, price tags may rise further. However, according to her, there are no such prerequisites yet.
We will remind you that previously the State Statistics Service published data on prices of goods and services in august. It is noteworthy that the prices of eggs, sugar, lard and meat increased the most in Ukrainian markets and stores. At the same time, beets, potatoes and carrots, on the contrary, fell in price.
