Residents of settlements within 100 km of the border between the Russian Federation and Ukraine should be resettled in safer areas.
In the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, the authorities are preparing the evacuation of 15 villages and hamlets located “within 100 km of the border of the Russian Federation with Ukraine”. Relevant documents are already being sent to people, the newspaper reports arrangement.
It is noted that officials, referring to “the instruction of the governor of the Voronezh region”, ask “to organize work with the population” regarding possible accommodation with relatives who live in safer areas. The administration also asks to know which residents can evacuate by personal transport.
The information collected must be provided by December 12 to the local civil protection and single emergency dispatch service. The total population of this territory is more than 270,000 people.
