Swimming pools and ski resorts have not been spared by the energy crisis. Gas and electricity prices are on the rise and to cope with this, many installations will also have to increase their prices.
The Isola 2000 ski resort is forced to charge more for day passes. Their price will increase by 2 euros as soon as the season is launched, as announced by the mayor of the town, Mylène Agnelli, this Thursday on BFMTV.
However, the aedile relativizes: “We are going to increase our expenses significantly but it is really relative compared to other stations which find themselves in a situation where they will have energy expenses which will be multiplied by 10, by 15 or by 20”she said.
“We will have to be virtuous”
Raising fares is not the only solution, as the mayor points out. Energy savings will also have to be made.
“We will have to be virtuous, think about the ski lifts which sometimes overlap during the week when there are fewer people (..) We are continuing the efforts and we will obviously increase them”.
Without “reduce the quality of services”assures Mylène Agnelli.
She also indicated that for the time being, the ski lifts will operate at the usual times. No question for the moment of closing them earlier.
