François Commeinhes, mayor of Sète and president of Sète Agglopole Méditerranée, expressed his emotion at the announcement of the death of Francis Crouzet, in his 90th year: “ a few days before the start of the Saint-Louis festivities that we were presenting today at the foot of the Ajustaire, dominating the Royal Framework and which he had financed as general counsellor, a great figure from Sète is leaving us in the person of Francis Crouzet. Former deputy mayor of municipalities Marchand, departmental councilor, he was appreciated by all well beyond political sensitivities. This dentist by profession was also a pioneer, from the 1960s, in the defense of our environment and the wealth of the Etang de Thau that this child from La Pointe cherished more than anything, fighting in particular against the disastrous power plant project nuclear power that caused debate in the last century. Until the end, Francis remained passionate about public affairs, going to city council meetings as well as to events organized by our friends from Sète de coeur, in particular.
To his wife Lucette, their children, all their loved ones and family, on behalf of the municipality, I send my deepest condolences. Francis will be missed in the Sète landscape.
