“Thank you, it’s very important for us. These donations are not just materials, they are hope for the Ukrainian people”, breathes Ulyana Kogut. The treasurer of the Franco-Ukrainian association of the Côte d’Azur warmly thanked the members of the Rotary Club of Nice chaired by Bérengère de Charnacé who offered three generators.
Once the machines are loaded into the association’s van, they will join the basic necessities, medicines and other equipment and tools that will be sent to Ukraine by semi-trailer in the coming days. “Since the start of the conflict, this is the fourth time that we have carried out actions of this typeunderlines Jean-Pierre Martin, former president of Rotary. We have been alerted to the need for generators. We offer three (with a total value of 2,100 euros) : a large one that can be used to heat a house and two smaller ones. »
“It’s very important on site,” adds Ulyana Kogut, because the Ukrainians suffer from the cold, from the power cuts. For food, it’s good because the trade works in the country but there is a lack of equipment. Each donation is one more step to help us repel the aggressor, one more step towards victory. »
