Festival promoting the practice of amateur and professional theater since 1999, Very Tôt en Scène is back in Anjou from March 9 for two weeks of shows for all audiences.
” A festival belongs first and foremost to its audience and to the companies that make it up. This is the recipe for the Very Tôt en Scène festival, which has existed for 25 years now. “, explains Emmanuel Dupont, director of the Château du Plessis-Macé and programmer of the festival.
Organized by Anjou Théâtre, the festival raises awareness among school audiences through theatrical art. In total, more than 47,000 young people from 650 different establishments have been able to attend the festival since its creation.
Through a repertoire of varied performances, ranging from the most classic to the most contemporary, 8 professional companies and an amateur theater company will welcome schoolchildren and the general public for 32 dates. Performances will be given at the Château du Plessis-Macé, at the Carré des arts in Verrières-en-Anjou, and at the Q4tre at the University of Angers.
In parallel with the festival, a tour of the “Black Mouton” show will be organized for 2,800 students, and nearly 1,200 middle school students will attend performances of the “Malade imaginaire” tour.
The full program can be found on the website of the castle of Plessis-Macé.
