As Yeni Safak reports, the earthquake was felt in many cities in Turkey and its intensity exceeded 7 points on the Richter scale.
Recall that the epicenter of the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale was recorded 37 km from the Turkish city of Gaziantep, which has nearly a million inhabitants. The number of earthquake victims is growing rapidly. We already know the death of nearly a thousand people. More than two thousand were injured. More than 1,700 houses were destroyed.
It is one of the strongest earthquakes Turkey has experienced in the past 100 years. Since this happened at night, many people slept in their beds and simply didn’t have time to leave their homes.
