Friday September 23, 2022 at 8 p.m.the Grasse Theater receives Waly Dia. The comedian, baby Jamel Debbouze, has fun with all that is incoherent in our society. There is something to laugh about, if not to cry about.
The subjects that divide
“We try to tell each other the truth, on complicated and divisive subjects. On subjects that are called polemical subjects. Controversies are fabricated things“, explains Waly Dia.
“The most heterogeneous public in France”
Waly Dia confirms it: it is for everyone and everyone comes to see it.
“I think I have the most heterogeneous public in France. There are all ages. There are all styles and all social origins. I’m very proud of that.”
A show where we can talk (also)
There is alwaysinteractivity in a show with Waly Dia. But no fake improv.
“It’s very fashionable to take someone from the public. There are some who do it very well. That’s great, but I try not to because it’s always wrong stuff in the end. We already know what we are going to say, but we pretend that it happens like that”.
When there are moments that are created, Waly Dia rushes into it on the other hand.
