Nigerian singer Time did the country proud again with his historic 2023 Oscar nomination for his contribution as a songwriter on “Lift Me Up” one of the Marvel soundtracks “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Tems co-wrote “Lift Me Up” with world singer Rihannamusic producer Ludwig Goranssonand the director of Black Panther, Ryan Coogler.
The full list of nominations was released on Tuesday, with the multiverse sci-fi hit “Everything, everywhere, all at once” tops the list with 11 nominations. This was followed by the Irish dark comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” and the First World War film “In the west, nothing is new” nine each. Winners will be honored at the ceremony in Los Angeles on March 12, 2023.
2. Chlöe announces the title and release date of her debut album
After nearly two years of releasing a string of singles, including “Have mercy” and “Treat me,” Chloe Bailey unveils his highly anticipated debut solo album. The 24-year-old singer took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 24, to reveal that her upcoming album, titled “In pieces,” will arrive in March 2023, although an exact release date has yet to be shared.
Alongside the announcement, Bailey shared a video in which she is seen in an elegant red leather dress, acting like a scale as she holds a human heart on one arm and a sphere on the other. “Wear my heart on my sleeve / They all say I’m naive / But it’s better than nothing” we hear him singing in the background on an ethereal melody.

Prince Kaybee slammed claims he didn’t create his hit song “Go get your life.” It was after Nota Baloyi took his timeline, arguing that the DJ and producer used a song by calvin harris to produce Fetch Your Life with Msaki. “I have bigger songs than Fetch Your Life. The rhythm of Fetch Your Life was borrowed from Calvin Harris. Prince Kaybee took a Calvin Harris song, played it back, simple, [and it was] a tube. Anything you write to that Calvin Harris beat is a hit… Fetch Your Life is a Calvin Harris song,” he said.
Prince Kaybee said that although Nota felt the need to take on artists such as Msaki, he did not want credit for his work given to anyone else. “LOL, Nota my friend, you can attack Msaki all you want, but this claim that Fetch Your Life is a Calvin Harris beat is unjustifiable. You reach! Someone please attach Calvin Harris song and its composition merits that match Fetch Your Life.
