A street appeared in Lviv in honor of Hrytsk Chubai.
On January 23, the birthday of the Ukrainian poet Hrytsk Chubay, a street was opened in his honor in Lviv.
This was reported in the press service Lviv City Council.
Hrytsko Chubai is an outstanding Ukrainian poet, translator, artist and art critic. One of the leaders of the Ukrainian literary and artistic underground of the 1960s-1980s and the editor of the self-published literary and artistic magazine Skrynya.

Friends and relatives of the artist, representatives of the city authorities and admirers of the poet’s work were present at the opening of Hrytska Chubay Street.
“It is a special day for our family. I suspect that my father, if he had seen this event, would have laughed ironically. Nevertheless, Ukrainians must remember their poets and artists, which is why the streets carry their name. Someone will pass by here, read the name of the street and maybe be interested in who it is, be inspired by it.”– said Taras Chubai, son of a poet, musician, leader of the group “Crying of Jeremiah”.
