Around 1:30 p.m. on September 26, the Russian invaders shelled the town of Pervomaiskyi. Private sector infrastructure and buildings came under fire from the occupants. As a result of the bombardment, seven people died, including a 15-year-old child. A fire broke out after the impact. “Private houses were destroyed, a fire broke out in the summer kitchen in an area of 20 square meters, as well as in a car. Rescuers from the 45th State Fire and Rescue Department have located the fire at 2:45 p.m. Search and rescue operations are continuing,” the Department of Emergency Services of the Kharkiv region said.
In addition to Pervomaiskyi, the town of Kupyansk came under fire today. After the shelling, the church school building and a store on an area of 500 square meters were occupied. A person is injured. Rescuers brought the fire under control at 11:55 a.m. and extinguished it at 4:30 p.m. The Saint-Nicolas church building was saved. According to the Department of State Emergency Services in the Kharkiv region, the invaders fired at the communities of Pervomaysk and Kupyansk with prohibited projectiles.
“These were rocket-propelled volley firing systems using banned cluster munitions, as well as heavy artillery,” the rescuers said.
