Bulgaria stopped issuing visas to Russians

The consular service of Bulgaria temporarily stopped issuing tourist visas to Russians.

The reason for this decision is the declaration of persons non grata of 14 employees of the diplomatic mission and consular institutions of Bulgaria in Russia, reports Ukrinform with reference to Association of Tour Operators of the Russian Federation.

Tour operators report that the Bulgarian consulate in Moscow has notified them of the temporary suspension of accepting documents for obtaining visas. This will apply to tourist trips and property owners.

The solution is positioned as temporary. But how long this pause will last is currently unknown.

As previously reported by the agency, the government of Latvia suspended the acceptance of visa documents for citizens of the Russian Federation to enter the country – with the exception of certain cases related to the burial of relatives.
