Ukrainian presenter and restaurateur Daniel Salem from the first day of the full-scale invasion, he has been protecting our country in the ranks of the Armed Forces on the front lines.

Salem is a senior intelligence officer of the Armed Forces, serving in the Southern direction of the front. The presenter shared that when he came to the Military Committee, they did not want to take him because he has a “white ticket”. Salem added that “Daniel Salem does not exist in the Military Commissariat in Ukraine” and explained that this is due to his arrival in Ukraine at the age of 19.

It should be noted that Daniel Salem was born in Odessa, but lived for a long time in Lebanon, where his father is from. But at the age of 19, the presenter returned to Ukraine to continue his studies:

“When I came to Odesa, to Ukraine, I was 19-20 years old. I came after the army in Lebanon, I had a Lebanese passport. In a year or two, my grandfather submitted my documents for a residence permit. Three years, and then “you apply for citizenship for five years. I received my passport when I was 28 years old. After the conscription age. I received my passport, I did not pass the military commissariat. In Ukraine, Daniel Salem does not exist in the military commissariat,” Salem explained on YouTube- “Star” project.

Daniel said that in Lebanon he served in the army, where he was a stormtrooper, and now his experience and skills are very much needed on the front lines:

“My commander says that I have a lot of experience and skills that I have now. And these skills of a stormtrooper. I was in the Lebanese army as a stormtrooper, it is such an elite caste of the military. We did not have artillery. We had shooting tasks: that is, this city, the clearing of the building. And when Lebanon went on the offensive in Israel, then I said no. My mother is Jewish, my father is Lebanese. One thing, when you defend your country from those inside, then there was the story with the Syrians, it was a little like that for me. And when there is a neighbor, he is not an enemy for me, because this is my mother’s blood, I am like that, no no. This war is not for me, I went to study. And I came to Odessa,” Salem shared .

We will remind, not so long ago, Daniel Salem remembered how already said goodbye to life on the front line. The leader fell behind his brothers and spent 27 hours alone, lying on his back in a low trench. Colleagues promised to return for Salem. And when they were already going after the soldier, he decided that they were the occupiers and was ready to blow himself up.
