The Russian Federation will regard Ukraine’s use of uranium-tipped shells for Leopard-2 tanks as the use of “dirty” nuclear bombs.
This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation at the OSCE forum on security cooperation, Konstantin Gavrilov, reports Censor. NO with reference to BBC.
“We warn the Western sponsors of the Kyiv military machine against encouraging nuclear provocations and blackmail. We know that the Leopard-2 tank, as well as the Bradley and Marder BMPs, are equipped with sub-caliber armor-piercing shells with uranium cores, the use of which leads to contamination of the area, as it happened in Yugoslavia and Iraq. In case of delivery of such projectiles for NATO heavy military equipment to Kyiv, we will consider it as the use of dirty nuclear bombs against Russia with all the ensuing consequences,” Gavrilov said.
According to the Russian diplomat, NATO led by the USA “simply forced” Germany to agree to the supply of German tanks, threatening Berlin with international isolation.
