Due to a full-scale war with Russia, Ukraine is not going to be easy heating season. Therefore, Ukrainians are encouraged to actively prepare individually for the coming winter.
In this regard, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development launched the “Get Ready!” communication campaign. and shared useful tips.
As noted in the department, one of the important preparation measures is household thermal modernization by owners of apartments and individual houses. It is the primary measures that will allow to reduce the loss of heat energy and create an optimal microclimate in the houses.
In the infographic distributed by the Ministry of Regions, it is recommended to reduce the heat loss of a residential building. For this, it is necessary to carry out prevention of metal-plastic windows, to seal them together with the door.
It also emphasizes the importance of choosing one room for heating in case of an emergency.
In addition, you should prepare heating batteries for operation – move furniture away from them, remove curtains that retain heat. Instead, you can stick a heat-reflective foil screen on the back.
Energy-saving measures should be carried out both in each individual apartment and to reduce the heat loss of the entire multi-apartment building, the ministry notes.
