The Hungarian side does not prevent the launch of a training mission for Ukrainian fighters, noted the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.

Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Sijarto announced that he did not vote for the creation of an EU training mission for the Ukrainian military.
The Hungarian side used the option of a constructive stay – it does not prevent the launch of such a mission, but does not participate in it, the official said after the meeting of the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of the European Union, reports Blikk.
Szijarto noted that Hungary will not spend money on the training mission for defenders of Ukraine and will not host its participants.
“Hungary also did not vote for this proposal, we used the option of a constructive stay, that is, we do not prevent the launch of such a mission, but we do not take part in it…” – explained the minister.
According to him, due to the training mission, there is a risk of involving Europe in the war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

The mandate of the mission will initially last for two years, with possible total costs for this period amounting to almost 107 million euros.
