The historic wooden gate in the house at 19 Karpinskoho Street in Lviv has been restored.
As of February 19 in Lviv, specialists restored the historic wooden gate in the house at 19 Karpinskoho Street, the press service said. Lviv City Council.
The masters restored it for about a month. Worked with an oak entrance gate. They made a new door handle, removed all layers of paint, made inserts, and restored the lost part of the carving and windows. The doors were not painted, but only tinted and covered with waterproof varnish.
The restoration was carried out as part of the city’s co-financing program, coordinated by the Heritage Bureau of the Department of Historic Environment Protection. The cost of the works was UAH 59,995, of which the residents’ contribution was UAH 17,998.
For reference. From 2018 in Lviv, the city finances the Program of co-financing the restoration of historic doors and gates. The program stipulates that 70% of the cost of work is paid by the city council, and 30% – by residents.
