According to the publication, during winter recruitment, two to three times less people agree to go to war compared to autumn and spring.
The reason is distrust of the promises of the “Wagnerians”, as it is noted in the information space and in telephone conversations with recruits that, in particular, under Bakhmut, 20% of those sent to war remained alive.
Earlier, the publication wrote that in September and October 2022, the number of detainees decreased by 23 thousand people. After that, the statistics were not updated for two months. However, according to data as of the end of January 2023, the number of prisoners has stopped decreasing, which may indicate a slowdown in the pace of recruitment at the Wagner Prison.
We will remind, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in order to make up for losses in manpower, the enemy is trying to attract participation in hostilities convicted women serving their sentences in a colony in the occupied territories.
