After the discovery of burial sites in Izyum, France will send a group of investigators to Ukraine.
“We sent two groups of investigators to Ukraine. For three months, they helped Ukrainian justice patiently recover the facts, and we donated a mobile laboratory for DNA analysis. Now, when new crimes in Izyum have been revealed to the world, we decided to send another support mission to the investigators on the ground, because where Russia operates using propaganda and disinformation, justice must be based on facts and evidence,” Colonna said.
We will need to ensure that people are held accountable for the crimes they have committed.
“France’s message today is simple: justice must be our common imperative. Without justice there will be no peace. Justice is, of course, an imperative for victims who have the right to recognition and reparations for their suffering. All the suffering of every victim. Justice is an imperative for international security, and I say this to those who consider this war just another conflict: if everything is allowed here, then everything will be allowed in other places, and the probability of an aggressive war will only increase,” Colonna emphasized.
