On the Black Sea coast in the Bulgarian resort town of Tsarevo on Saturday, children found what is believed to be an anti-personnel mine while diving for rapans.
While swimming, the children saw an unknown object floating in the sea and immediately informed the rescuers about it. The area near the suspected mine was cordoned off, while people continued to swim on the rest of the beach.
As reported Nova.bg with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Bulgaria, experts are currently determining what kind of mine the children found on the beach. It is planned to be destroyed on Sunday.
In addition, in another resort town of Vromos, emergency services also received a report of an explosive object – it turned out to be a rusty anti-tank mine without a detonator, which will be destroyed on Monday.
