Today, February 28, the first round of talks between Ukraine and Russia took place near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. Delegations from both countries have already left for their capitals for consultations.
As previously reported in the President’s Office, the key issue of the current talks was the immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of troops from our country. The Ukrainian delegation included David Arahamiya, Servant of the People faction, Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Podoliak, Adviser to the President’s Office, Andriy Kostin, First Deputy Head of the Delegation to the Tripartite Contact Group, Rustem Umerov, MP, and Mykola Toye, Deputy Foreign Minister.
Currently, detailed information on the results of the talks is lacking. So far, it is enough to briefly describe them during a briefing in Gomel, Mykhailo Podoliak.
According to him, the parties have identified a number of priority topics on which certain decisions have been outlined. In order to be able to implement these decisions, the parties are going to their capitals for consultations. Then you can move on to the next round.
