Opponents staged a “show” in the captured territories, noted the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council.
On Friday, September 23, the so-called “referendums” for joining the Russian Federation began in the Ukrainian territories temporarily captured by the Russians, in particular, in the Kherson region.
The people of Kherson are advised not to open their doors to “walkers” who will offer to vote in the “pseudo-referendum”, First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yury Sobolevsky reported this on Telegram.
“Today, orcs can start walking around houses, ‘persisting’ to vote, to take part in the so-called ‘referendum’. The best way to avoid this is simply not to open the door. They shouldn’t break down doors and break into houses these days – it would be too much even for orcs,” he wrote.
At the same time, Sobolevsky emphasizes: if the occupiers managed to get into the house, there is no need to take ballots and fill them out.
“The best justification for your refusal will be – ‘I don’t want to sit in prison later,'” Sobolevsky notes.
He emphasizes that this “show” does not have any legal consequences for Ukraine or the international community, but “those who took part in the referendum may have legal problems later.”
In another post, Sobolevskyi showed a photo of the polling station where voting in the so-called “referendum” is to take place, where there is only security and joked that it was “full”. “This is the case when there are more guards at the polling station than there are people willing to vote,” he wrote.
