Housing will be built in Uzhgorod on state-owned land, with the subsequent free transfer of part of the apartments to the state to meet the needs of internally displaced persons.
This was reported by the deputy head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Tymoshenko Telegramreports Ukrinform.
“Today in Uzhgorod, a project to provide housing for forced migrants was presented. These are multi-apartment buildings where people will be able to get temporary housing. Here in Uzhgorod, residential buildings will be built on state-owned land, with the subsequent free transfer of a part of the apartments to the state to meet the needs of internally displaced persons,” Tymoshenko said.
According to him, the state enterprise, as the customer, will receive 10%, respectively – 1,000-1,200 square meters of housing.
Tymoshenko noted that the investor offered to allocate part of the square meters of housing in the building, which will be put into operation already in October this year.
“Repair and furnishing of the apartments will be carried out by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. This will make it possible to get housing for displaced persons without attracting funds from the state budget”, – noted the deputy head of the OP.
Tymoshenko also informed about the signing of a memorandum between Zakarpattia OVA, “Traksler Development” and the UNHCR office in Ukraine.
“This experience can be used in other regions of Ukraine so that people can quickly get housing – this is our goal. This is how we will get locations for the stay of IDPs without the involvement of state funds, which are currently needed for the Armed Forces,” Tymoshenko emphasized.
As reported earlier, Tymoshenko informed that technical salt will be produced in the village of Tereblya, Zakarpattia Oblast, for the needs of communal enterprises, in particular, for sprinkling roads from ice.
