I wish you health, dear Ukrainians!
Brief report of the past week.
First of all, I would like to thank all our soldiers, who with extreme bravery – and in the hottest points of the front, with simply superhuman efforts – hold back the enemy.
The Russian army will not change tactics. The occupants know that the programandthey are inferior to the Ukrainians in direct combat, they are inferior in skill, and that is why the enemy makes such a bet on artillery and all-out bombardment.
They try to destroy everything in front of them and enter the ruins. And I am grateful to all those who, even in such conditions, still hold back the occupiers in the Donbass, in the Kharkiv region, in the direction of Mykolaiv – where the confrontation is most acute.
During this week, the Ukrainian armed forces and our intelligence services achieved powerful results by destroying the logistics of the Russian army, the rear bases of the occupiers. And each strike on the enemy’s ammunition depots, on their command posts, on the accumulations of Russian equipment saves the lives of all of us, the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.
Of course, I thank the partners – all those who supply Ukraine with the necessary weapons. In particular, another support package from the United States was agreed this week, which also includes ammunition for the Hymars. Thanks a lot. All of them are applied as precisely and advantageously as possible for the overall strategy of our defense. We are doing everything to obtain even more efficient and modern weapons.
It was possible to restore the maritime export of Ukrainian agricultural products. Our Black Sea ports are working again. And if it is still too early to draw up a general assessment of the process, we can still say that it is positive both for our State and for all of our partners.
However, the main security risk has not yet been removed. The threat of Russian provocations and terrorist attacks remains. Everyone should be aware of this.
But if the partners fulfill their part of the commitment and guarantee the security of supply, this will really solve the world food crisis.
And we must not forget that the restoration of our maritime exports was made possible mainly thanks to our soldiers – all those who protect Odessa and ensured the liberation of Zmiiny. They are just heroes.
During the week, opportunities for Ukraine in the direction of Africa were significantly expanded – there were new contacts with heads of state and communications with journalists. I will continue this work next week – another round of negotiations is planned.
Unfortunately, we have a significant worsening of the situation around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Russian terrorists became the first in the world to use a nuclear power plant for terrorist purposes. The biggest in Europe! We will draw the world’s attention to this and insist on further sanctions against Russia for creating such a global threat.
And despite the fact that the Russian bombing of the nuclear power plant is one of the most dangerous crimes against Ukrainians and all Europeans, against the right to life of every person, for some reason there is no report or even a simple notification from Amnesty International regarding this. A very eloquent silence, which once again indicates the manipulative selectivity of this organization.
This week, there are new sanctions measures from Canada and the United States. Switzerland has taken an important decision regarding its support for the EU’s seventh sanctions package. The general trend of tightening sanctions remains unchanged and will continue to increase the price of this terror, the terror against our people, against the terrorist state.
I would like to thank everyone who develops our state charity platform UNITED24, and all the ambassadors of this platform – Andriy Shevchenko, Elina Svitolinia, Liev Schreiber, the Imagine Dragons group, Demna. This week, three months of UNITED24’s work was summed up. More than 6 billion hryvnias were collected in contributions for reconstruction, equipping hospitals, for the purchase of ambulances – dozens of ambulances were purchased. There is already the first rotorcraft, purchased with funds raised by UNITED24. It will be used to rescue the injured. It was possible to attract help from more than a hundred countries.
One of the most important areas for August and September is the implementation of our Fast Recovery rlan. What should be done in the territory liberated from the enemy to provide people with conditions for normal life and prepare for the autumn and winter season. A total of 1,060 settlements have already been liberated, and the absolute majority of them require extensive restoration, demining and construction of social facilities. And I thank all our partners who have joined in the relevant work.
In particular, this week the delegation from Estonia visited the districts of the Zhytomyr region, which helps in recovery. Estonia was the first within the Fast Recovery rlan to choose objects for funding.
We work with diplomats and businesses in all other areas that need support and restoration work.
We believe in our defenders! We help the defense!
We preserve unity and do everything for the victory of Ukraine! She will!
Eternal glory to our soldiers!
Glory to Ukraine!
