Yesterday, November 23, after the massive bombardment of the energy infrastructure, around 3,000 miners from Kryvyi Rih and the Pavlograd district were trapped underground. The rescue operation was completed in the morning.
In Kryvyi Rih, 653 people went into hiding. Dnipropetrovsk OVA chief Mykola Lukashuk reported that the last of them was brought to the surface at 04:55 in the morning. Municipal services and mine rescuers participated in the rescue operation.
Additionally, more than 2,000 miners were trapped underground in the Pavlograd district. They too have already been brought to the surface.
“653 miners who were underground during yesterday’s mine shutdown in Kryvyi Rih have already been brought to the surface. It was also possible to raise more than 2,000 miners in the Pavlograd district»– wrote the mayor of Kryvyi Rih Oleksandr Vilkul.
