The Dnipro City Council made changes to the municipal program of assistance to victims of shelling, creating a payment mechanism for destroyed housing in the amount of up to UAH 1 million in a single payment.

“The current decision of the session doubled the amount of compensation that was approved last fall,” the city council said.
Victims will be able to receive funds after conducting examinations and instrumental assessments. District administrations will help with the submission and processing of payment documents, the city council clarified.
As reported, on January 14, a Russian Kh-22 missile hit a 9-story building in Dnipro. 46 people died. According to preliminary estimates, 236 apartments cannot be restored.
The authorities promised to pay the victims financial aid (up to 1 million hryvnias per family), private business also collected 103 million hryvnias for the victims.
