Residents of the Zaporizhia region are advised to stock up on firewood and fuel briquettes for the winter

Due to the Russian invasion, the heating season of 2022-2023 will be the most difficult in the Zaporizhzhia region.

About this in Telegram Oleksandr Starukh, head of ZOVA, reported Ukrinform.

“Due to the Russian invasion, this winter will be the most difficult. Already today, we need to think about warming homes, the private sector, if possible, stock up on firewood and fuel briquettes. In addition, based on the situation, strategic reserves should be created and alternative fuels to gas should be provided,” – the post says.

The head of ZOVA also noted that the situation in the area of active management hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories it is extremely difficult. After all, the enemy cut off the power grids and gas pipelines. ZOVA hopes to ensure at least a minimal heating season there.

“A difficult situation has developed in the zone of hostilities. The need for additional financing of regional communal facilities and the construction of backup power grids was also determined. We understand that the season will be difficult. We must be insured against all eventualities. But, at the same time, we will endure everything, we will overcome difficult times and we will definitely win,” said Starukh.
