Rice irrigation system worth 50 million returned to Kiliya city community :: Election Commission :: Main events of Odessa

The Commercial Court of Odesa Oblast upheld the arguments of the prosecutor’s office and upheld the lawsuit to remove obstacles to the exercise of the right to use and dispose of the property complex and return the property to its owner, the Kiliya City Community.

Prosecutors proved in court that despite the expiration of the agreement on free fixed-term lease in 2014, the business entity did not transfer the in-house irrigation rice system to the Kiliya City Council. At the same time, the company tried to register the right of ownership, despite the fact that the property is on the balance of the territorial community.

The complex of domestic irrigation system with an area of ​​3 thousand 317 hectares costs almost 50 million hryvnias.

So far, the court’s decision has actually been implemented and, according to the acceptance-transfer act of February 15, obstacles to the exercise by the Kiliya City Council of the right to use and dispose of the Kiliya rice irrigation system have been removed.

Earlier, the Department of Capital Construction and Roads of the Odessa State Administration announced tender to select a company that will be paid for the overhaul of inter-farm canals and hydraulic structures of the Kili Rice Irrigation System.

Inter-farm irrigation chain Kili rice system consists of main and distribution channels with reinforced concrete cladding.

To Kiliya rice irrigation systems include four pumping stations:

• NS-1 -water intake,
• NS “State Fund”, NA-2 – bilateral action,
• NS “Drainage” – reset.

Note that in October 2021, the Department of Capital Construction and Roads of the Odessa Regional State Administration announced two tenders to select contractors to repair irrigation systems in Bolgrad and Belgorod-Dniester districts.
