Now the state is considering how it will participate in this military aid.

Spain will join the European coalition of countries that was formed for sending Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Options for the state’s participation in the general package of military aid are now being considered.
As reported by the publication El País, on Tuesday afternoon, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez spoke at a plenary session of Congress. When asked about the supply of German tanks for the Armed Forces, the head of the government answered that he wants to see how European countries go “hand in hand” in this aspect. “We are going to remain united and coordinate our actions with other allies and, above all, with Europe,” Sanchez said.
According to journalists, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Spain are currently evaluating what contribution the state can make to the program of providing tanks to Ukraine. According to preliminary expectations, many European countries and NATO members will participate in the deliveries.
Some of them will provide Leopard from their own reserves, and others will help with financing. Spain is currently considering which of the two options to choose.
