
Discussions on the transfer of Leopard tanks from Slovakia to Ukraine are currently not underway.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Yaroslav Nagy, reports Censor. NO with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
“Last year, we had an agreement with Germany that we could hand over 30 BMPs to the Ukrainian army in exchange for 15 Leopards from Germany. We received only one tank in December, and we expect to receive two tanks a month from March,” Nagy said. .
The minister noted that there are currently no discussions on the possibility of transferring these tanks from Slovakia to Ukraine.
“We suggested that we have T-72s and we are ready to send them to you at least tomorrow. If there is an opportunity to receive Western Leopard tanks or other models in exchange,” he explained.
