Teichmann became Yastremska’s opponent in the “core” of the WTA tournament in Abu Dhabi

In the first round of the main draw of the tennis competition in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Ukrainian Diana Yastremska (#102 WTA) will meet Swiss Gilles Teichmann (28).

The tournament of the Women’s Tennis Association WTA 500 Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open with a prize fund of $780,637 will be held on February 6-12, Ukrinform reports.

The Ukrainian had previously played twice with the Swiss. In 2016 and 2018, Yastremska was stronger at ITF clay tournaments in Brazil and France.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Monday Yastremska won against the American Claire Liu (52) in the final round of qualifying for the tournament in Abu Dhabi.
