The most difficult situation is in the Odesa region, due to significant damage, the restoration of the planned power supply scheme of the region needs more time than before.

Electricity consumption on weekends in Ukraine decreased somewhat. But the deficit in power system remains significant due to the small amount of reduction.
About this informs “Ukrenergo”. The company recalled that as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks, power plants (generating capacities) and the high-voltage network were damaged.
In particular, the attack by the Russians on January 26 caused significant damage to several objects of the high-voltage network.
“However, the power system is still recovering after the previous series of enemy missile attacks, which caused damage to the power units of the power plants. As a result, the production of electricity at the operating power plants cannot fully cover consumption,” Ukrenergo explained.
At present, consumption limits have been established for all oblenergos, which apply throughout the day.
It is noted that the restoration of the energy infrastructure facilities damaged during the massive attack on January 26 is underway.
The most difficult situation is in the Odesa region, due to significant damage, the restoration of the planned power supply scheme of the region needs more time than before.
“Ukrenergo”, electricity producers and oblenergo are constantly working to restore damaged facilities affected by enemy attacks. However, after each subsequent attack by the Russians on the energy infrastructure, recovery becomes increasingly difficult and takes longer,” the report said.
The situation in the energy industry – what is known
As reported by UNIAN, the energy system of Ukraine has already survived 13 massive missile attacks the enemy and 15 UAV strikes on energy facilities.
In addition, more than 10 GW of the main installed capacities are currently inaccessible to the Ukrainian energy system and are under the control of the enemy. In particular, it is the largest in Ukraine and Europe Zaporizhzhia NPPZaporizhzhia TPP, Luhansk TPP, Vugleghirskaya TPP, Kakhovskaya HPP.
Most of the wind and solar power plants are also located in the temporarily occupied territories of the south.
After the last mass attack on January 26, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko reported what happened hitting energy infrastructure objectsdue to which emergency shutdowns were introduced.
Subsequently, the company “Ukrenergo” noted that as a result of the attack by rockets and drones on January 26 power equipment was damaged in several regions, the main high-voltage equipment was destroyed in the Dnipro region. And the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmygal, said that as a result of a missile attack, the Russian military hit electrical substations, but the situation in the power system remains under control.
