Hiroshi Mikitani, CEO of the Japanese company Rakuten Viber, transferred 8.7 million to Ukraine
dollars, said on Saturday, February 26, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.
«Our friend, Rakuten Viber CEO Hiroshi Mikitani, donated $ 8.7 million to Ukraine. It is incredible when the whole world is with us», – stated he.
It will be recalled that earlier representatives of the Polish company CD Projekt RED, which produces the popular computer games “The Witcher” and Cyberpunk 2077, donated 1 million zlotys for the needs of the Ukrainian army, ie approximately 7 million hryvnias.
On February 24, 2022, the Ukrainian army, which has been repelling hostile Russian aggression since 2014, faced Russian troops who carried out a full-scale invasion. The enemy attacked Ukraine for no reason in order to “demilitarize” and “denazify” it, but faced resistance from the population, territorial defense units and the Armed Forces.
