According to the expert, caffeine “borrows” a resource from future reserves and its effect can be equated to any stimulant.
It is noted that caffeine has a similar structure to adenosine. This substance accumulates in the body during the day, and as a result, causes a feeling of drowsiness.
Also due to caffeine, adenosine receptors in the brain are “clogged”. This is what gives a person a temporary feeling of vigor. However, the brain needs adenosine, so it creates new receptors that are filled with adenosine or caffeine during the day.
A nutritionist says that some people suffer from insomnia if they drink coffee in the evening (even until 15 – 16 hours), and others – easily fall asleep after a cup of strong drink. And the result depends on what substance got into the receptors.
Therefore, it is better not to “pour” coffee, but just have a snack and then you will definitely feel the charge of vigor.
Coffee contains many nutrients: potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins, organic acids and caffeine. The drink also has many other useful properties, namely:
– reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes with frequent use, normalizes blood sugar levels;
– for a short time improves memory and attention, improves mood;
– reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease;
– relieves headaches, effective for migraines;
– improves sports results.
