Bitcoin exchange Coinbase has hired former Goldman Sachs top manager Roger Bartlett as head of financial operations. Reports about it The Block.
Prior to his appointment, Bartlett held a similar position. He worked at Goldman Sachs for more than 15 years.
On his page in LinkedIn the top manager described the “mission to create economic freedom” as “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” So Bartlett explained his decision to join Coinbase.
At the end of March 2021 Coinbase has hired a former director of commerce Brett Redfern Securities and Exchange Commission. It happened a couple of weeks before direct listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
He left the company four months later, according to some reports, due to Coinbase’s decision to “shift the priorities towards digital assets with the properties of securities [digital-asset securities]».
At the end of January 2022 founder and CEO of Shopify Tobias Lutke joined the board of directors of the bitcoin exchange.
We will remind, quotations of shares of bitcoin exchange Coinbase fell 5.8% after the publication of financial results for the fourth quarter of 2021.
