Under the leadership of the suspect, in 2014-2019, the Russian airline made at least 1,226 flights to the “Simferopol” airport, which was closed by Ukraine.

The prosecutor’s office reported the suspicion to the former general director of the Russian airline “Sibir” (operating under the brand “S7 Airlines“, – UNIAN) due to illegal flights from Russia to occupied Crimea.
About this informs the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The ex-head of S7 Airlines is suspected of organizing the illegal transportation of people across the state border of Ukraine to the occupied Crimean peninsula (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, from 2014 to 2019, the suspect held the position of general director of Sibyr Airlines, which is subject to sanctions in Ukraine.
“Using his official position and having the appropriate functionality, the suspect organized a criminal scheme, which consisted in the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine from the Russian Federation to the territory of the occupied Crimean peninsula and in the opposite direction,” the report says.
It is noted that the regular flights “Moscow-Simferopol-Moscow” were carried out after the closure of all air crossing points across the Ukrainian state border, as well as contrary to the norms of international law and national legislation of Ukraine.
“Under the leadership of the suspect, from 2014 to 2019, the Russian airline made at least 1,226 flights to and from the Simferopol airport closed by Ukraine,” the prosecutor’s office said.
As a source in the law enforcement agencies informed UNIAN, the general director of the Russian sanctioned company “Sybir” Volodymyr Mykolayovych Obedkov, who organized air flights from Russia to Crimea, received suspicion.
Russians are suspected of complicity in the aggression of the Russian Federation
As UNIAN reported, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on suspicion of Oleg Belozyorov, general director of the Russian Railways company, which contributed to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. According to the investigation materials, he organized the delivery by rail of Russian armored vehicles and personnel in the direction of the state border of Ukraine and to the temporarily occupied territories of our country.
Previously, Ukrainian law enforcement officers reported suspicion of war crimes head of the Russian PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin. With the support of the Russian authorities, he recruits, trains and manages mercenaries subordinate to him, who are then used in the war against Ukraine.
