According to him, Russia has a lot of S-300 missiles (modified surface-to-surface missiles) left – they work along the front.
Russia has run out of missiles. There is literally an untouched supply of them that cannot be used. Because of this, the Kremlin was forced to switch to drones from Iran and S-300 air defense missiles.
Such an opinion on the air FREEDOM said military expert Roman Svitan.
“Calibre, X-101 and X-55 are high-precision and very expensive missiles. Most likely, the Russians have recently stepped up to the bar: they can no longer use them without the direct permission of the higher command – for this, very important targets are needed. “One such target was recently hit by Tu-22M3 bombers with Kh-22 missiles in Western Ukraine. Most likely, they are looking for a target and only then strike with missiles,” the expert says.
According to him, Russia has a lot of S-300 missiles (modified surface-to-surface missiles) left – they work along the front. But, as Svitan noted, they have a maximum damage zone of up to 100 km.
At the same time, according to the expert, the only replacement for all these types of Russian weapons is the “Shahid-136” kamikaze drones, which were handed over to the Russian Federation by the Iranian spiritual authority (KIR – Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps).
“For now, this is the only mechanism to cover the losses of the Russians in battle,” said Svitan.
Russia uses Iranian drones against Ukraine
In mid-August, it was reported that the Iranian authorities had sold a thousand drones to Russia.
On September 23, the Russian Federation attacked Odessa for the first time with Iranian kamikaze drones, two drones in the port area destroyed an administrative building, and four residential buildings were damaged. Due to enemy attack two people died.
On the night of October 5, the occupiers attacked the White Church of the Kyiv region with kamikaze drones. Six hits were recorded, the infrastructure of the city was damaged, one person was injured.
On October 7, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones for the first time. According to preliminary information, one person was injured and hospitalized.
It is known that Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones are very loud – the sound they make is similar to that heard during the operation of a chainsaw or a moped engine. These drones fly very low, so it is rather difficult for the air defense forces of Ukraine to catch them.
Today it became known that Russia delivered Iranian weapons to Belarus kamikaze drones for attacks on the western regions of Ukraine.
