It is noted that 170 graves were counted on satellite images.
Cemetery PVK “Wagner” in Stanytsia Bakunska of the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation continues to increase. In two months, the number of graves increased sevenfold.
Journalists of The New York Times based on data from satellite images for January 24 found out, that there are already 170 graves in the cemetery. In addition, 21 columbarium walls with 42 niches in each were counted near the chapel near the base.
“Which gives reason to assume that hundreds of fallen Wagner fighters are either buried there, or at least their memory is immortalized there. Whether they were all killed in Ukraine or somewhere else is unclear, but the video in any case shows the scale losses of “Wagner”, the message says.
It is worth noting that Yevgeny Prigozhin confirmed at the end of December 2022 that the cemetery in Stanytsia Bakunska belongs to the “Wagner” PMC.
“On it are the graves of those who, for various reasons, wrote in their statement that in the event of their death, they want to be buried near the chapel of the “Wagner PPC” in hot Klyuch. Since there are no places for burial near the chapel itself, with the support of the administration of the Krasnodar region a plot in Stanytsia Bakunska was allocated,” said the leader of the Wagner group.
