A representative of the Turkish leader made a loud statement after his talks with the Russian dictator.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s first aide Fahrettin Altun said the world “cannot end war in Ukraine, ignoring Russia”.
He said this after Erdogan’s talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Sochi yesterday, informs Reuters.
An aide to the Turkish leader Erdogan emphasized that “diplomacy and peace” should prevail. He mentioned the “grain agreement” as an example of the victory of diplomacy. According to Altun, this breakthrough shows the success of Turkey’s efforts and direct diplomacy between the two leaders.
“True, some of our friends do not want the war to end. They are shedding crocodile tears,” Erdogan’s representative said, without specifying anything.
Altun added that some states “tried to undermine Turkey’s attempts to establish a dialogue between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.” At the same time, the Turkish side seeks to use its relations with Russia and Ukraine “to reach a mutually acceptable solution.”
As UNIAN reported, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan again offered to the head of the Kremlin, Volodymyr Putin, to meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. According to Erdoğan, what is important now is the effective implementation of the plan and the transformation of the positive atmosphere into concrete steps before returning to negotiations in Istanbul.
